Meteor Hit in Greenland Could be Taste of Things to Come

Several media are reporting that a large meteor, about the size of a house, hit ground in a remote part of Greenland on July 25, 2018 and exploded with 2.1 kilotons of force. NASA has confirmed that an object travelling at about 16 miles per second landed around 30 miles north of an early missile warning operated by the US Air Force. It was the largest such meteor strike since the Chelyabinsk meteor, a 20-meter space rock that exploded in the air over Russia without warning on the 15th of February 2013. That object (pictured) was the size of a house, brighter than the sun and visible up to 100 kilometers away.

In my book Floodgates, I point out that the Bible warns the “windows of heaven” above, which once opened up to let in the torrential rains of the Flood of Noah, will open up once more to let in fiery judgment from above. Isaiah chapter 24, and in particular verse 18, are the clearest passages on this last-days method of divine judgment. The Book of Revelation then gives warning after warning of “fire” falling from the heavens to judge mankind for our rebellion against God. This likely will often take the form of meteorites and asteroids coming through the atmosphere and striking earth. I also note how scientists have discovered that the massive gravity field of the “king’ planet Jupiter is uniquely positioned to shield the earth from such impacts, otherwise our planet would be pocked full of multiple craters like the moon. All it would take is a slight shift in that protective gravitational shield and the earth would be much more vulnerable to the thousands of meteors, asteroids and other pieces of debris floating around in space. Is that day approaching?
